Quick question if I may, we have a CAL licence install of SQL2012 and we have the installation for the CORE version we which we need to replace. We dont have a key as its straight from our volume licence server. So, do I need to do a complete reinstall or can I update so to speak?
We are trying on our sandbox, just thought I would pick the almighty brains of the experts too!

OK so just in case nayone stumbles on this, the edition upgrade (under maintenance) of the installation will allow a licence update as well as version i.e. developer to enterprise which I thought it was limited to.
