RPC: Completed and SP:StmtCompleted, huge difference in duration.

  Hi,

  investigating some performance issues, I am seeing a massive difference between the duration of the RPC: completed and the SP:StmtCompleted.

  SP:StmtCompleted duration=8, Reads 216

  RPC:Completed duration 2090, Reads 315

  SQL executed is single statement submitted from a .NET app.

  executed on its own in SSMS the performance matches the SP:StmtCompleted.

  i don't understand where the RPC overhead comes from.

  any ideas?
