Hello,
I have an existing Database Mail profile/account set up already, for unknown reason, it starts to send funny email. I decided to do some troubleshooting and the issue is explained as below:
In Database Mail, I have a profile created associated with an existing account, it was working fine but just suddenly starts to send funny emails with subject like "XXX issue to be addressed ASAP" where xxx is the profile's name
In the troubleshooting, I send test email using that profile, and I will receive email like that, presumably the test email's subject is: Database Mail Test
So I proceed to delete the problematic profile and account, and recreate both from scratch.
I got the same funny email when I send Test Mail. I reboot the server, and the issue still persists.
I do have another profile using a different account, and it is working fine as expected.
What could be wrong with the profile/account? why it doesn't go away after I re-create it?
Any clue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
