Replication: Not for replication

  • Hi all,

We are configuring a transactional replication and found out that we need to set all triggers, foreign keys, identity, check constraints NOT FOR REPLICATION.

I am creating replication with backup/restore method, not initial snapshot.

According to this TechNet link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms151313(v=sql.105).aspx , we can do it for all articles in publication properties. But it would work only if to initialize replication from a snapshot. But I do it with backup which restores all triggers, FK to subscriber anyway.

Instead of this, can I explicitly drop all of them on subscriber right after I restored the database? Or there is still a method to set "not for replication" from GUI or a script even for initialization from backup ?

    Thanks
