Hi
I have a requirement to change some fields from nvarchar(max) to something more suitable ie Nvarchar(50).
When I check what 'dependencies' are on this particular table I see a lot of Stored Procedures.
Do I have to go through each one and see if any of the stored procs input parameters rely on the nvarchar(max) field that I wish to change ?
If so is there a quick way of doing this ?

I'm not aware of a way of doing it without touching each object that has a reference to it.

No way I know of. You can use a tool like SQL Search to search all objects for the name of the column and check them, and refactor them. I believe SSDT or VS have something similar, but I haven't used them.

Ok I'll try those tools then. Thanks very much for the replies - much appreciated 🙂
