Checking the Performance of my SQL Server 2008 R2

    I am asked by my management to support my case saying my SQL is performing good,

    I tried to run activity monitor, I just need to know, how I would I know the numbers are good, I mean what is the basic thresholds ,

    Help is appreciated,

    In activity monitor, select recent expensive queries. Do you see any of your SQL there?

    No you wont see optimized SQL here.

    You will see if your SQL is causing problem.

    Seeing if it is optimized is a much more complicated thing.
