Hello,
I am trying to find if anyone has experience in datacenter migration. I am currently working on a project where we are moving our datacenters from one location to another. All our sql databases are residing on Virutal servers and teams are currently performing a VMOTION of SAN to another datacenter after turning off sqlserver. Apparently once the server comes back online on another or new datacenter, application teams are noticing lot performance issues. When we executed the same query over the database and it is really consuming lot time and when we rolledback migration the performance is running smooth. Not clearly understanding where the problem could be. Is that something at SAN level, because i see on avg 5-10 pageio latch issues on new datacenter. Any expertise..

Do you have any counters that suggest you have disk issue?
Have you tested a typical workload on the new storage? How did it respond?

On the new server we did the DISKIO testings and on average i noticed is 6-10 ms. But, we didn't do the same testing in old datacenter.
