    to be fair, clustering everything is a bit more in the land of unlimited budgets. I can spin up a test/dev in virtualbox and run slow small scale versions. Test/Dev doesn't have to be expensive.

    Download a free copy of VMPlayer to your desktop and install OS and SQL, test the patch, done. I think free is in everyone's budget 😀
