Thanks for your help, but as I said earlier I'm a newbie with RS. Can you tell me what you exactly what you mean. Where do I go? I'm sorry for this.....I've googled this for the last 10 days and it's doing my head in 🙁
Report is based on a Dataset. Dataset is basically a query that fetches data to be displayed in the report. Dataset uses a datasource to run it's query on. Datasets also contain parameters that are used in the reports for user input.
Data sets and Datasources are of 2 types. Shared and Embedded.
Shared ones are stored on the RS and are displayed in the Report Manger.
Embedded ones are stored in the individual reports.
So you need to need the know definitions (or queries used in ) of these datasets.
First check if you have any backups of the old Report Server database. If you have one, try to do a restore to get back the lost items.
