SSIS logging with dtexec /consolelog - advice on avoiding too much info?

    Hello,

    I have an SSIS package that I want to increase logging for, but I can't make changes to the package because it's part of a 3rd party software solution.

    I switched to execute the package with dtexec and included the /consolelog option. It gives WAY too much info - any advice on how to get a concise log? I'm really just looking to know when each step started and finished. I want to avoid all the pre-processing/post-processing garbage.

    Are there a series of includes / excludes that you can recommend either with /consolelog or /reporting?

    Hi There,

    Anyone in general using dtexec /consolelog to launch their SSIS packages? Are you happy with the amount of logging? Are you willing to share your switch options?
