Hi,
We are having sql server 2008 r2 and when we trying open sql query window getting below error.

Have you ever successfully run a query? Is everything else running ok?
If it is only happening on your machine I'd try reinstalling SMS.

I would recommend you don't install client or management tools on a server at all. Run them remotely. Stuff like that on a server uses up processor cycles and encourages people to log on to the server when there's no need.
