  We have FCI with 2 nodes running 2012 Enterprise Edition.

  I wan't to remove fci nodes from both nodes, and install standalone server in both server.

  For this task, please recommend me and guide.

  We want to in first node connection string show 1st standalone server, for reporting purposes second standalone server.

  In the past variant, reporting make table locks, and operational application report many timeouts request.

  second node must be sql server 2008 r2, because of ms reporting application was tested 2008 R2

  Looks like a perfect fit for implementing AlwaysOn Availability Groups with a readable secondary.

  It's a shame you need a 2008 R2 secondary. Are you sure you can't go with 2012?
