Need Project Plan for SQL server 2008 Database server.. general overview.. please suggest
Like we have SQL servers. so what would be the project plan...

Project plan for moving data to it from a different server?

Nothing like that..

Customer just want a Project plan on existing environment we have..

and have asked us to come up with do & dont's on DB server..

Like following standards, what can be done on DB server t& then they need recommendations & all..

Can anybody help me with some topics or Index ?? so that i will elaborate it & provide him the document

I suggest you start with the SQL Server 2008 R2 Best Practices Analyzer (BPA). You can also use the SP_BLITZ from Brent Ozar.

The results will give you a starting point of things that can be improved.

I need to know some information on below points..

1) SQL SERVER Installation & DB Creation

2) Hardening

3) Installation of required Tools like SQL Doctor, SQL APEX Tool for Audit, Recovery etc

4) Backup Continuity Planning

Atleast 3 -4 lines on this.. also please add some points which may be usefull in making a rough Documnet

Honestly, it sounds like you might be way over your head on this one. I'd suggest bringing in someone with SQL Server experience. A good consultant should be able to help you get to where you need to go.
