    but while installing I am getting error "a fatal error occurred during installation"

    could u please help me out.

    I am using sql 2008 and windows 2012 server

    Ensure you have the below pre-requisites configured/installed.

    Full-Text Search must be installed.

    The SQL Full-text Filter Daemon Launcher service must be running.

    FILESTREAM must be enabled.

    did you say "while installing"? You only need to attach this database file to your installed SQL Server. Remember to remove the attachment for log file and you should be successful in attaching.
