Need to create a snaphot for reporting server?

    Hi

    Looking for some help/links to where I can figure out how to copy all our tables in our production database to a database on our reporting server on a nightly basis.

    If it matters I don't want to overwrite tables that exist on the reporting server and don't on the live server, for example reporting servers has a dimdate table live doesn't i want to keep that on the reporting server...

    I suggest you place the tables that are extra in the reporting database into a seperate database on the reporting instance. Then you can use a daily backup/restore to copy the live database as the reporting database on the reporting instance. Define in your report(s) that data needs to be fetched from two different databases (only for the reports where it is required).
