Have a question -- how to set up permissions to a snapshot folder share for SQL Servers that have LOCAL SYSTEM as owner of their SQL Server services.
- Server A has it's 2 services SQL Server & SQL Agent defined w/ owner = 'LOCAL SYSTEM' and subscribes to Server B's publication
- Server B publishes to a Snapshot folder w/ a SHARE setup on it which multiple SQL Servers subscribe to.
Most of our servers are defined w/ 2 Windows accounts (domain\SQLServerAcct, domain\SQLAgentAcct) that own these 2 services.
No brainer to setup ReadOnly permissions to the snapshot folder share for the itemized Windows acct's.
Q: for Server A, how do I set permissions to READ Server B's snapshot folder share?
