  Hi there,

  We use Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Edition (64-bit) Version- 10.50.1600.1 in our company. Whenever I use dbo.Decrypt() with blank string in parameters which occurs sometimes in SP's the server instance STOPS suddenly and needs to be re-started from Configuration manager.

  The exact query which stops server is 'Select dbo.Decrypt('')'.

  Anyone who can shed some lights on this problem is this a bug of SQL server or any specific problem.
