Does log gets truncated on full backup?

    I am using sql server 2008 r2 express. My doubt is related to log truncation.

    If i do full backup of a database then does log gets truncated?

    No, only a transaction log backup will truncate the log.

    In full or bulk-logged recovery model, only a log backup will truncate the log. In simple recovery, a checkpoint truncates the log.
