Any one have used Solarwinds application server management tool for monitoring sql server and windows, we are looking for both network and sql server tool into one to save budget, currently we are using Longitutde heroix, have any one used both of the product, and the pro and cons to compare the two?

No, Solarwinds at the time I was evaluating monitoring software wasn't robust or mature enough to monitor SQL.
While it now does Application monitoring where it can connect to an ODBC database, I would still question is level of providing adiquate monitoring without trying the new Application module.
So as I have said to 1 person also wanting to know if anyone had used it. Get a copy of it, install it, play with it. If it does everything you need, then cool, but if not then dont buy it.
Only you will be able to detail if it does everything you want from a monitoring solution, but my personal preference would be to stick to the something more focused on SQL, like SQL Monitor, Idera DM, Spotlight, Foglight, SQL Sentry etc etc.
