    ======

    I M totally new in this field,, basically I M a network Administrator.

    But due to some special activities I have been tasked to complete following project and run it for users. PLEASE HELP

    One application having different (Non-Clustering awared) components is running in my environment :-

    Server End : Crystal Reports, some local made software(s), MSDTC Components Special configuration, SQL 2005 Server and a database on separate server (DAS)..

    Client End : Crystal Reports, and A software / components to access data..

    I have been tasked to cluster my servers for smooth operation and high availability...

    I Have done till now : 2 Windows 2003 servers, with SP1, clustered (windows based and SQL 2005 in cluster mode at both serves with full configurations).........

    Now when I try to connect my application either from server (through my Admin module), or from an-other client, it gives errors like :

    Error 1

    =======

    LoadCON 5 A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while estblishing connection to SQL Server.

    The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance is correct and that SQL Server is configured

    to allwo remote connectino. (Provider: Named Pipes provider, error: 40-Could not open a connection to SQL Server).

    Error 2

    ============

    Naming Convention is like :

    Router : 192.168.1.1, Server : 192.168.1.50, Node1 : 192.168.1.11, Node2 : 192.168.1.22,

    Win Cluster Name : TCLUST (192.168.1.100)

    SQL Server Virtual Server Name(configured during installation of SQL 2005 ) : SQL2K5VS

    SQL Server Instance : SQL2K5INS1 (192.168.1.101)

    MSDTC : 192.168.1.103

    Q. 2

    ====

    I have tried by entering in AServer, DServer & Ref_Table tables the name like : SQL2K5VS\SQL2K5INS1 but locally it resolves and runs application ........ but it does not run remotely.. and again it gives error of connectivity as above...

    Kindly let me know what to configure and where to be resolved by remote user(s) ...

    THANKS............ WAITING FOR URGENT REPLY IF POSSIBLE
