| Life's Little Frustrations As with others, I've had to deal with death in the family recently. Some other family members are dealing with cancer (a few friends too). Happily none of us has recently been a disaster zone, but that's happened too. So yeah, big, nasty scary stuff happens in life. However, for most of us, most of the time, it's the little frustrations we're dealing with the most. Not, OMG the car is on fire, but, low tire pressure.... again. Not, where are going to live with the house gone, but, AC is acting up so we need to call the repairman. Stuff like that. My son and I spent a whole day working on putting together a retractable awning he wants to mount on his deck. It was a long, involved, confusing and frustrating process. However, we work really well together and were able to overcome every challenge. After getting it all put together, it was time to mount it. So we pulled out the mounting hardware that came with it. Start reading through a new set of documentation only to find that the kit only included bolts for mounting the awning to concrete. We needed to mount it to wood. At that point, we walked away. Oh, we'll finish it. It's just the frustration had hit that point where it was too much. We weren't ready to run down to the hardware store, track down the right kinds of carriage bolts AND THEN go back up and do all the work to mount the awning. It's just going to wait a few days. It's those little frustrations that seem the chew on us all the time. Nope. No big lesson from this one. Just the observation.
