  • Is SQL agent sevice account has the access to sql and has right password?

Looks to be it is access/permissions issue.

  • thanks

But five days maintenance plan properly working but last 2 days is failing but the backup which includes in the maintenance plan is working but the removing of old files is not working.

  • Hi,

    Did you solve your problem?

If so, could you tell how?

I'm getting the same error message but can't find the solution anywhere on the internet. Only see several people having the same problem.

I'm using the sa user and it's been working for weeks but suddenly stopped working. I'm sure we have done something what broke it but have no idea what

    Kind regards

  • only solution is wait for next days the job will run successfully.if not then still wait of one days more.

What kind of response is that?

Check your permissions on the share that you're backing up to. The account running the SQL Agent must have full rights to that share if you're backing up and trying to delete older files using a MP. Sounds like someone changed permissions (or maybe passwords??).
