New Free Event for Database Professionals in Virginia

SQL Server developers and database administrators have the chance to attend a free half-day event, in Richmond, VA – hosted by SQL Server experts Steve Jones and Grant Fritchey.

Who should attend?

This event is for database professionals who want to improve their SQL Server skills in a number of core areas. In this half day session, we will present four talks covering server monitoring, backups, corruption detection and indexing..

The Sessions

All of our sessions will cover the subject in a general way and teach you the concepts and knowledge you can use in your daily job.

  • Core Monitoring for SQL Server – Steve Jones explains the basics of monitoring a SQL Server system.
  • Getting Started with SQL Server Backup – Grant Fritchey will cover the basics of full, log and differential backups, plus restores.
  • Understanding Database Corruption – Grant Fritchey demonstrates where database corruptions come from and how to recover from them.
  • Indexing for SQL Server – Steve Jones will show how indexes work and what maintenance should be performed on them.

About Steve Jones and Grant Fritchey

Steve Jones, SQL Server MVP, is the co-founder and editor of SQLServerCentral.com and has been working with SQL Server for two decades at a variety of companies, including five years at Red Gate.
