We have SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition for 3 servers. We have successfully implemented transactional replication between those servers for our datawarehouse databases. But it appears that synchronization for Analysis Services databases does not come with the 2005 standard edition. When using the synchronization wizard, it allows us to go through all the steps, and then choose "Synchronize now." But immediately we get this error:
"Errors related to feature availability and configuration: The 'Synchronization' feature is not included in the 'Standard Edition' SKU. Database synchronization failed."
Does anyone know of a workaround? We want to set up the Analysis Services databases to 'replicate' or 'synchronize' in a similar way to the datawarehouse replication. We don't want to have to upgrade to the Enterprise edition of 2005. Any suggestions?
