Enable mail profile in agent

  • hi guys i have a question, in my sql agent i have the "Enable mail profile" box checked and my database mal is working correctly, my question is if i move to another node (failover)or restart the agent, would this make this box unchecked? i am trying to figure out what could have cause for this box to be unchecked all of a sudden in my production server, i know noone has access besides me to this server.

  • The value for that check box is stored in the registry - HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLServer\SQLServerAgent. It will probably need to be set on each node individually.
