Hi, I'm trying to set up SMTP mail, and I can't find the required DLL, all the posts I found refer to the zip file located at www.sqldev.net but that site is no longer working. Does anyone have that dll and could send it to me or does anybody know where I can find it? I've googled it with no luck.

Thanks
Lucas

Tigertechie,

I've attached a zip of just the DLL file (no instructions). I'm reverse engineering it from our one server to the other (without any instructions that may have been provided before), but at least this will give you the most critical piece.

I am desperately trying to locate and download 'xpsmtp80.dll'. Several sites have links to sqldev and to the link below. Both are invalid. Does anyone know where this file can be found?

Thank you.

Please disregard my post. I was originally unable to download the .zip link but as soon as I posted it started working. I was unable to register the dll by the REGSVR32 'C:\program files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Binn\xpsmtp80.dll' command as others have posted. But executing exec sp_addextendedproc 'xp_smtp_sendmail', 'xpsmtp80.dll' did work.

To Polzovatel and everyone else who needs the file,

As for downloading xpsmtp80.dll, like the gentleman above I also had a problem with the link.

The solution: You actually have to register for the site. Once you log in with your username and password then you will have access to that link. Smile
