I have a Win08 with SQL08 installed in c:\ .

the data and log are in other drives.

how can i backup and restore the c:\ completely?

i've tried back using Windows Server Backup. it is great to restore a user file (such as non system files in c:\windows). it will not restore (write over) the existing files. since there is data corruption, i need a way to wipe the OS and restore the entire OS and SQL and I have that backup already.

how do i restore (and backup), so, I can wipe the content of c:\ with the restored file?

thanks.
