Hello Friends,

In my office, i am using SSIS 2008, and in one data flow task i have taken one derived column transformation and added one new column of type string.

it is taking default data type as Unicode string, and i want to change it as string data type, but it is not changing. actually, all the datatype listing should come in dropdown box, but the dropdown box is not coming. but in SSIS 2005 we can change the data type using drop down box.

is this the feature was restricted in SSIS 2008 or is there any problem with my software?

please suggest me in this regard.

Thanks
Sathish B
