I was able to remove several options to export on my reports by going to the reportserver.config file and commenting out several export types in the RENDER tag section.
But I did the same for WORD but it still appears as an option.
e.g.
<!-- <Extension Name="WORD" Type="Microsoft.ReportingServices.Rendering.WordRenderer.WordDocumentRenderer,Microsoft.ReportingServices.WordRendering" Visible="false"/> -->
Thoughts?
BTW using SSRS 2012

That's the extension for Word 2003.
Did you also comment out WORDOPENXML? That's the one for Word 2007-10.
