I am trying to connect PowerPivot to an "other" datasource, in this case Actian Vector 4.0H , the Hadoop edition, I can successfully use it with SSAS - which uses the dotNET interface and that supports the square bracket object delimiters that are favoured by Microsoft.
When I connect using PowerPivot , whilst the connection works with the basic ODBC standard calls when I try to filter the results I hit the long standing square bracket problem.
The ODBC trace shows :
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM .[tabname]
I have seen no solution to this problem and no work around
The same problem occurs with other database if the OLEDB/ODBC connection is used.
Getting these two great tools working together would really help me!
