Hopefully I have this in the right forum. I'm asking this as a newcomer so forgive me if I say anything completely stupid.

We have a situation where we have a project for a particular customer and everything is working perfectly fine.

We now have a new customer who requires exactly the same thing, Facts and Dimensions are all the same, even the MDX queries are the same. The only thing which differs is the content of the source data that will feed the cube (i.e. they'll have country, date, transactions etc in exactly the same format as the other company)

So from my newbie perspective is to "re-use" the working project and then modify to be populated from the new data source.

What I'm not sure is how simple this is to achieve and what process to follow. Is it as easy as copying the working sln project and renaming it. Then opening and modifying it for the new company. Or is that a roadway to hell because I'm missing something an experienced developer would already know.

Can anyone point me on the right track?

Copy pasting the solution will probably be enough.
If it is only the data that changes, it is pretty similar to deploying a solution from the test server to the production server.
