Hi all,

I am new to SQL Server and a bit shaky about the operation I would like to do.
What I want to do is to query, using SQL Server 2012, a database that is created in mySQL. Apparently a linked server is the solution.

I have read a few articles and I believe that I have to start with installing an ODBC driver (SQL Server <--> mySQL).

I searched on the mysql.com site for such an ODBC driver.
This search results in 938 hits.

The question now is: which 1 to take?
Maybe I am looking at the wrong place, if so, what are my options?

Maybe some additional information:
I have a 64 bits machine
I Use SQL Server 2012
I have Windows 7 Home premium

If more info is needed please let me know

Thanks in advance
Hein
