Hi,
I was told by MS support to reinitialize after any schema change as replication only replicates data, as we had problem replicating a new added column in an existing replicated table. But it is not consistent. on a test system, i was able to replicate column changes of existing replicated table without stopping or reinitializing anything.

so my question is when do I need to reinilialize then? this is significant for us, as we are replicating a 250GB database, reinialization takes forever. Thanks.

DDL changes should reflect on to the subscriber. And you said it worked on test environment. Please try to check again.
