I am writing a report based on a sharepoint list, and my text field displays with all of the formatting code. It shows everything between the < and > as shown in the attached image. I can't find a function to hide this and make the text display correctly in the report. I'm using a text box - should another object type be used?
Thanks in advance...

in other programming situations, I've used a Regular Expression to strip html tags out of a field, leaving just the content; would that be a possibility?
then you could do Field=StripHtml(SomeValue)

Public Function StripHTML(ByVal s As String) As String
Return Regex.Replace(s, "<(.|)*?>", String.Empty)
End Function

I found a solution on http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc627491.aspx
that did the trick. If you simply drag a data item over from your dataset you don't get this option, but if you first add a Text box and then associate a data item with it, you can format as html or not.
Thanks for the suggestion Lowell..
