I am trying to evaluate whether we could get away with ReportBuilder V1 (because our server is SQL 2008) or whether we should upgrade to SQL Server 2012, hence ReportBuilder v3.

I tried a very simple report based on a model I generated out of our datamart.

I just tried (and failed!) to sum some values without any criteria.
It looks like ReportBuilder V1 returns the distinct values instead of the SUM! Ermm

I tried to use both "# MyValue" and "Total MyValue" but got the same result. Crying

I then did the same experiment with ReportBuilder V3 and it worked fine...

Based on that simple test, it looks like I should not approach ReportBuilder V1! :-)

Has anyone some advice on this?

Many Thanks

How embarassing... It was my mistake!

I had taken the wrong calculation...
