I have a very mysterious and stange issue with Log shipping backup jobs: I have over 60+ dbs and they will all stop running for about 7 hours from midnight to 7am on Sunday morning. No error messages, no failures, just nothing. I have checked the servers event logs, I have checked SQL error logs, I even checked the default trace logs. nothing!
And then only "pattern" is that it happens on Sunday, but even that is random. It happened twice last month, and only once this month. Last month was back to back weekends, but there was two weekends it ran fine and then again it happens this past weekend. I am running SQL 2K5 enterprise CU#2 for SP3(9.4211). I found that similar issues were caused by later CU/SP's, could that be my issue even though it happened after CU#2?
I forgot to add, that it is not a sql agent issue because reindexing runs at 1am just fine.
