I have setup Database mail and can send emails from SQL server with no issues. However when emailing a notification from a SQL job it fails.

I have setup the alert system on the SQL Server Agent and enabled a mail profile.
I think the reason its not working is I need to do a SQL Server Agent service restart, however I'm worried about doing this as we have mirroring setup on the server. Will this impact mirroring and other jobs?
