Very slow opening "Job Activity Monitor" in SQL 2008, no changes has been done

  • Hello:

    Either when I open "Job Activity Monitor" from my workstation in SSMS or in an Remore Desktop Session, It takes 3 to 5 minutes to bring the screen back, sometimes I got error message "Timeout expired" and get nothing.

    We did not upgrade or change anything on SQL, but this started after a patch to the Windos OS. But they indicate no problems with other servers.

    Are there any bug, issues or problems with SSMS?

    SQL Server 10.0.4000 version

    Please help.

  • How about connecting to SSMS initially, does that also takes time to open?
