  • Hi guys,

I am planning to pass these three exams in the next couples of months. (Self-funded .... 🙁 🙁 )

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!! :-):-)

    Thanks!

    Fingers Crossed!

  • The only real advise I can give for the moment would be to read the "skills measured" section of the MS learning website on the exams.

Also if not already get a copy of SQL 2012 Developer edition to play with.

Unfortunatly as the exams are still new to the scene there are no official MS books and I dont think there are any none NDA breaking test engines for the exams as of yet.

Thanks for your reply Anthony. 😉

Yeah, you are absolutely right. It was indeed a little bit disappointed after I did lots search on the internet for these exams after they were released in June:cool::cool:. Haven's seen many people show their interests in to be honest ... As you said, skills measured perharps is the only way to prepare with ...

    Still thanks for your advise!

Patience. People writing material for the exams have to first take the release exams and then write prep material. Can't base prep material on the beta exams as the exams change after beta.

It's perfectly possible to use the skills measured page and books online to study for them. That's what the people who write the beta exams do mostly.

Also, you're very unlikely to find material specifically for 457 and 458. They're upgrade exams. Instead look for material for the base exams: 461, 462 and 463. A training kit for 462 has just been released http://blogs.msdn.com/b/microsoft_press/archive/2012/08/08/new-book-training-kit-exam-70-462-administering-microsoft-sql-server-2012-databases.aspx

  • Thank you again. One book on order and thats the one I was worried about.

    Many Thanks
