I configured CDC for one of our databases & enabled some tables. As expected, in SSMS I find the cdc-tables (including the "_CT") under "system tables".

Some time later, one of the other dba's enabled some other tables for cdc. But now the created ("_CT") tables don't appear under "system tables" but under "tables".

The cdc process seems to work well, but I am wondering what caused this behavior (& what are potential consequences).

Anyone any idea?

Edit:

I found this: http://yrushka.com/index.php/sql-errors-and-fixes/sql-server-fix-sp_ms_marksystemobject-invalid-object-name-cdc-cdc_table1/

May well have been the cause!
