Has anyone tried to install sql server 2000 on a windows server 2008 x64? What problems have you encountered?

You can install and use SQL 2000 on Windows 2008, however, it is not recommended and some features does not work as straight as on Windows 2000/2003. Read the following article.

I'm installing it right now as a test for something. Don't plan on using it for production and it's recommended that you don't.
The only issue I've hit so far is that I can install up to SP4, but I can't patch it to 2273 like I want.

Something else I've run into so far.
There was already a default instance of SQL 2008 on the server that I installed SQL 2000 Enterprise on.
Because of this, there are some connectivity issues that I may be missing. When trying to get to the new 2000 instance from another machine, the only way I can get to it is by servername\instancename,port. I may be forgetting another setting that I haven't messed with before, but that's what I've found so far. I'll continue to update as I find stuff.

Were you able to ever successfully install SSRS 2K on a 2008R2 Server? I am in the midst of this and have everything migrated with the exception of starting the Service and building the IIS Application Role. I may be stuck with this issue and 2003 server as a backup simply for reporting services.
