SqlPackage Version Gone Backwards?

    It seems that the version of SqlPackage.exe which is deployed with SSDT 2017 is currently 14.0.3811.1, whereas the version deployed with SSDT 2015 is 14.0.3953.4

    Does anyone know anything about this, or why an earlier version is being used?

    If you haven't even tried to resolve your issue, please don't expect the hard-working volunteers here to waste their time providing links to answers which you could easily have found yourself.

    Not really aware of it but maybe related to the fact that the latest version for 2015 had issues deploying to SSIS catalog, mainly when deploying single packages.

    in my company we had to revert to use ssdt 16.5 to bypass the problems.
