  • I'd say my favorite would have banana peppers, sausage, and black olives on it.  I'm not much a fan of Pizza Hut's crust though, there's some local chains I prefer if I'm not making my own. ๐Ÿ˜€

  • I like a home made pizza with honey garlic sauce instead of tomato based, chicken, onoin, pineapple and tons of cheese added afterwards.
    Family Pizza inspired that one for me with their honey garlic almond chicken pizza.  I just removed the almonds and added onoin.
    But like Jeff, free pizza is the best pizza.

    The above is all just my opinion on what you should do.ย 
    As with all advice you find on a random internet forum - you shouldn't blindly follow it.ย  Always test on a test server to see if there is negative side effects before making changes to live!
    I recommend you NEVER run "random code" you found online on any system you care about UNLESS you understand and can verify the code OR you don't care if the code trashes your system.

  • There are so many good types of pizza out there that it's hard to pick just one favorite.  It depends on the mood.  There's this uber thin crust at a restaurant by home that comes with a spare amount of white sauce and mozzarella.  They add the prosciutto and arugula on it afterwards it bakes, soon enough to warm it a bit.  This is the place that uses wood fire pizza ovens.  It's simply amazing.  They have great normal pizzas as well.

    A chicken barbecue sauce pizza can be good if done right.  So can a normal, meat-eaters pizza.

    In the end, Jeff definitely has the winner:  Free pizza usually tastes the best because somebody else bought it. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • I tend to do a create my own on when ordering, depending on what my mood is. Normally, however, the "mold" starts with Stuffed Crust, BBQ Base, Chillies (or Jalapeรฑos if not available) and normally Ground beef.

    You talking about "Shields" or some other place, Ed?

    Shields does have pretty good pizza.  However, I was thinking of Pizza Bigalora just off Northwestern Hwy in Farmington Hills.  It isn't cheap and it isn't very filling, but they've nailed the taste factor. The menu's at http://bigalora.com/menu/#pizza. It's the place the speaker dinner was held for SQL Saturday Detroit in 2014.

  • Lately I've been doing a no-cheese pizza with pepperoni, bacon, canadian bacon, chicken, sausage, and roasted green chile. Without the cheese it's basically a spicy, meaty flatbread. Dairy and I had a very messy breakup a number of years ago and currently have a tumultuous, once-in-a-while fling thing going on that never ends well...

  • We have a New York style, Anthony's, in Denver, that is good. Went there yesterday for a salad and a slice. Sad that I didn't just get two slices. My arteries are happy, but I'm unsatisfied.

    I also like Papa Murphy's. The local one will add more sauce, which I really like, and I can see it being made to adjust things.

    My kid is a pepperoni and onion guy, so I usually do that. I'd add green peppers and mushrooms, sometimes sun dried tomatoes.

  • I haven't met too many pizzas I didn't get along with, but my favorite is a homemade, pesto base with mushrooms, onions, cashews, and mozzarella. I put it on a relatively thin dough that crisps on the bottom.  Preferably baked in my wood fired brick oven.  I can't really get enough of it and make several when I make pizza at home.
