Hello,
I recently joined new environment and observe that one of the SQL Server is having Merge Replication Configured on SQL 2005 Instance.
Publisher and Subscriber are configured on instance which is on 2 node cluster.
Distributor is configured on physical server whose hardware configuration is very small (4 GB RAM, etc.).
When there is much load on distributor, there will be performance issues.
With my past experience I know 1 publisher can have only 1 distributer. Does anyone know the possibility of having 2 distributor for 1 publisher?
Also please let me know that distributor on VM is recommended or Physical Server and why?
