Use the Mirror db for reporting

  Hi,

  I have setup mirroring from serverA to serverB using ServerC as a witness for failover.

  When i set up a dummy test db, I am able to query that db on serverB. But when I do the actuall production db, it says restore/sync mode.

  What am I doing wrong?

  I am using the 2008r2 enterprise version for all of the severs.

  That's not possible. Mirror DB is not accessible as it is. May be dummy test db was primary DB on Server B.

  You can't use the Mirror DB directly for reporting. You need to use DB snapshot of the Mirror DB for reporting.

  Please ensure that you have setup the mirroring correctly , restore the Full backup with NORECOVERY .
