Hi,
I am a newbie to SSIS and have been tasked to move a 2000 dts package to ssis.
The issue is that i need to dynamically map columns with each file I load.
See each source file posts to the same destination table - but the column order in the source files is not the same.
Any pointers

Are the amount of columns the same? Is the flat file delimited or fixed width?

Its multiple file types with multiple delimiters and varying column orders.
The column order is stored in a separate table per file.

Instead of making your life very difficult, I would make a seperate data flow for each type of flat file.
