Formatting columns at once.

  • Hello Sql Gurus

Is there a way in ssrs to format column headers

basically changing font color, size , type , border-color and so on at once?

I've been trying to find a solution but nothing.

    Regards

    🙂

  • You can select multiple cells by holding ctrl or shift while selecting them.

  • Hello

But with that you can not change the font at all, all you can do is to change the background color not the font size and type.

  • I can. What version of SSRS are you using?

Can you change it using the properties?

  • One work around would be creating a template that I'll use to create new reports but the problem I have, I'm formatting existing reports so going to one field at a time takes so much time and there is a lot of reports to change.

Please help if there is any solution to this.

    🙁

  • I'm using ssrs 2012

    I'm using ssrs 2012

It works in SSRS 2008R2, so I would be suprised if they killed that "feature".

Did you try using the properties?

  • yes they killed the feature

now our lives are very difficult..

we are trying to find a very standard thing that can be used by anyone working on the reports on different machines.

I really need something that works.

one can use some custom code and use a background property to call that code but it would be great if it can be just a standard thing every time I update or create a report.

    🙁 🙁 🙁

  • I checked on my laptop at home which has SQL Server 2012 SSRS.

I can still select multiple cells at once and change the formatting.
