I have a problem in ssrs,please suggest your valuable answers.
Problem:- I have one report, in that i'm passing one stored procedure.This procedure having 2 parameters.One is int,second one is date format.I need to get the data through these parameters and saved it into Excel.
when i was tried to save the data in excel it was getting problem.

I have totally lakhs data.can i save this data into excel?
How are we supposed to answer a question like this?
Yes you can get data into Excel. Totally lakhs (remember this is an international forum. Use real numbers) data? I don't know, how much is totally lakhs data?
It seems to me you need to tackle this problem with SSIS (Integration Services), not SSRS.

Hi Koen,
I'm very new of ssrs.
when i was tried to save the ssrs result set data in excel i'm getting the error.

That error should be pretty self explanatory. You can't put 200,000+ rows into an excel spreadsheet. Why do you want to put this much into a spreadsheet? If you need to transfer the data there are better ways than Excel. If you can explain what you are trying to do we can help.

Totally 1,00,000? Being an American through and through that always looks like a misprint of 1 million to me. 😉 I suspect that they meant "total rows around 1 lakh" or something...but who knows.

You can export this to CSV, but not to Excel.
What is the purpose of this export? If you want to analyze the data, you can import it into Power Pivot. This tool can easily handle 200,000 rows.

If you really want to import that much data into Excel, you need to upgrade to a newer version.
Excel 2010 is capable to handle a bit more then 1.000.000 (1 mln) rows.
But again, as Koen allready posted: what is your purpose for this data? Maybe another tool can be more appropriate.
