DB Reindex

    Yesterday i did rebuild my index but while checking I came to know that there are still some fragmentation..what is the reason ?

    Without seeing what you see, can't really tell you. What I can say is that rebuilding indexes does not eliminate fragmentation, it reduces it.

    Index rebuilds aren't expected to make the fragmentation exactly zero. Also could be index is too small to be worth rebuilding.

    To add to what the others have already cited... fragmentation is constantly happening on active systems that have any indexes that are based on non-temporally related columns... even during defragmentation if done online.
