I'm somewhat of a newbie to SSRS, but more apt with SQL Server (SSMS). The queries I've built run fine in SSMS, but I'm now seeing delays in SSRS now that the report is all built.
I'm trying to pinpoint where the rendering errors are coming from (also working with our sys admins to get to the execution log tables) because it's taking forever to run or will give me various rendering errors.
One thought I had is that maybe because I have my row labels and main dataset not in the right place or something? This is how this report is currently laid out:
Current Month dataset (main dataset in tablix properties) | FYTD dataset || Row Labels | Prior Month dataset | Rolling 12-Month dataset
The double-line || represents where the separator is between the row groups are and the body; however, I do not have any groups setup.
Will any of this cause a problem when rendering? When I switched the row labels to the left side and the main tablix dataset to the right side, it didn't seem to help performance so still stuck. I know there could be several other reasons.
